Hello Friend's and Members,
This week will be the third delivery. So far all is going well with tremendous improvement in the weather helping a lot. We are now fully stocked up on all meat items as well as Lamb Roasts and Ham Roasts for Easter. Best to order now!
We spent several days just repairing fences. But it's worth it to have the pigs safely back where they belong! Did a little cattle fence repair for later as well. Won't be long and we'll be able to do field cultivating and seeding. Also range pastures are growing.
The remaining green houses are all full of veggie starts. To catch up after the big wind storm and maximize the growth of Salad Greens and many other starts for transplanting we left the heat and grow lights on 24 hours a day. The electric bill for this last month was $1205. And as you can see SO has also become a Gorilla Tape fan keeping busy repairing the remaining tears and leaks in the structures.
She's also been shopping for a lot of seeds lately to be sure we have enough. Last year there were shortages due to the Covid panic buying and shipping delays. With this weather pasture will be growing thick again soon. But thankfully I still have enough Hay for a couple months. Always good to have extra.
Picking up 6 more processed hogs now so have 8 stored in the freezer. Next week six more scheduled to deliver for processing. Still have 1.5 available for Custom Freezer Processing. Beef is being scheduled for May-Jun time frame.
Trying our best to provide super fresh greens to go with the storage veggies. Let's see what's planned for this coming delivery.
