Our herd is a family of Black Angus / Wagyu (Kobe) cross cows. Our purpose is to create the ideal environment for our herd, where they live stress-free, healthy and content.  They are provided plenty of open space and are entirely grass fed.  They enjoy clean water, fresh air, and have plenty of room to roam, play, and exercise. We believe in ranching with integrity, mindful of our responsibility to our herd, to our community and to our planet.  In early spring, the herd dines on wheatgrass, clover, and alfalfa as they roam through the rangelands from upland pastures into our basin pastures.  In the late summer, during the challenging dry season, we provide the herd with a lush salad-bar forage mix of oats, peas, sunflowers, turnips, and other forage plants taken from our ranch's own annual garden crops.

It is well established that pastured, grass fed beef produce meat with substantially lower levels of saturated fat and higher levels of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A and E, B vitamins thiamin and riboflavin, beta-carotene, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), and calcium, potassium and magnesium.  Additionally, grass fed beef is higher in Omega-3 fatty acids and has a healthier ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 fatty acids, the essential and healthy fats found in flaxseed and salmon.

Our cattle are never confined to a feedlot.  We believe that feedlot practices are unsustainable and are, in fact, detrimental not only to the livelihood of the animal, and the vitality and well being of humans, but also to the health of the planet. 

We do not use hormones, nor add antibiotics to our herd's diet.  We believe very strongly in raising our herd with integrity. Our management of the ranch includes incorporating sustainable practices which address the needs of the herd while also maintaining the health of the land.  Our mission is to provide you the highest quality sustainability raised, grass fed beef.  We believe that raising our herd under these ideal conditions not only provides you with food that is better for you and the environment but is also unsurpassed in taste and flavor.  You will enjoy the feeling that you are not only feeding your family beef that is better for their health, but is also better for the planet.
